Lightship recently took its all-electric RV trailer on the road for its first-ever interstate road trip.
The team recently set off from Broomfield, Colorado, heading south towards Dallas and Austin, Texas, marking a major milestone for the company’s road-ready RV.
The trip isn’t just about mileage; it’s the real-world test of Lightship's performance, comfort, and charging efficiency. The crew reported smooth handling through the high winds of eastern Colorado, seamless stops at EV chargers (without unhitching) and a good amount of public interest in the eye-catching trailer.

With a retractable roof that can drop more than 3 feet at the press of a button, the RV is designed for aerodynamic travel and ease of use. Stops at Walmart and a Rivian Adventure Network Station confirmed the RV’s compatibility with public charging infrastructure.
Gearing up for Glory
The road trip comes on the heels of Lightship’s launch of the AE1™ Cosmos edition, a futuristic, solar-powered RV trailer that promises a quieter, cleaner, and more connected outdoor experience.
Lightship plans to release three additional AE.1 trim levels—Atmos, Panos and Terros—each designed to cater to diverse traveler needs.
As the team continues its journey, they’re not just testing hardware. They’re introducing a new way to explore.
