This year, three companies in the TechNexus Venture Collaborative ecosystem — representing the power of strategic partnerships and groundbreaking startup growth — have earned a coveted spot on the TIME Best Inventions of 2025 list. These technologies are poised to fundamentally reinvent industries from travel to healthcare, all while demonstrating the transformative impact of connected innovation.
The Power of Partnership: THOR & Harbinger Pioneer EV Travel
The collaborative success between TechNexus corporate partner THOR Industries and portfolio startup Harbinger is again making headlines. Fresh off their Fast Company 2025 World Changing Ideas Award, this TechNexus-facilitated partnership has been recognized by TIME for creating the revolutionary Embark, the first-of-its-kind range-extended electric Class A motorhome.
As an addition to THOR’s Entegra Coach brand, the fully electric Embark delivers a 105-mile extended range. This innovation is a pivotal moment for the RV industry, a sector traditionally defined by significant gas consumption, proving that a seamless transition to sustainable, premium travel is possible when industry titans and agile startups collaborate effectively.
Lightship Electrifies the Trailer Experience
Lightship (pictured), a TechNexus portfolio company, received a special mention in TIME’s Best Inventions list for its all-electric RV trailer, the AE.1 Atmos.
This aero-electric travel trailer is a masterclass in efficiency, drawing its power from a dedicated battery and integrated solar panels. By combining premium comfort with top-tier technology, Lightship’s AE.1 Atmos is making climate-friendly, off-grid travel a more comfortable and accessible reality for a new generation of adventurers.
TeamWorking by TechNexus Member Cellares Speeds Up the Cell Therapy Revolution
Landing among TIME’s medical and healthcare innovations, Cellares, a member of our shared TeamWorking by TechNexus workspace, was honored for its Cell Shuttle.
This robotics-powered system is engineered to radically overhaul cell therapy production. Cell-based treatments are vital in the fight against autoimmune diseases and cancer, but their customized manufacturing has created a bottleneck in patient access. The Cell Shuttle changes the equation: it has the capacity to manufacture 16 different therapies simultaneously, yielding enough treatments in a single year to match the total number of cell therapies ever administered in the U.S. to date. With over $355 million in financing already secured, Cellares is set to drive meaningful change in global patient care once the Cell Shuttle becomes operational in 2026.
These recognitions from TIME underscore the caliber of innovation happening within our ecosystem, from high-growth portfolio companies to powerful corporate partnerships. As these ventures continue to scale and deliver world-changing solutions, TechNexus remains committed to being the catalyst that connects these pioneering ideas with the resources and relationships needed for massive industry impact.
