Sage Clarity, a maker of apps that help companies in industrial sectors with digital transformation, has been acquired by SmartSights, a provider of operational intelligence software for industrial teams.

SmartSights is backed by Capstreet, a Houston-based private equity firm.

Founded in 2011 and located at TeamWorking, a Chicago-based coworking space led by TechNexus Venture Collaborative, Sage Clarity creates manufacturing data apps. It offers real-time visibility into facility operations and helps provide greater insights to operators and executives, helping with efficiencies across the supply chain.

It has customers in food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, aerospace, automotive, pharma and medical devices.

“With the backing of SmartSights and Capstreet, we believe Sage Clarity will be better positioned to help businesses harness the power of their data to streamline operations quickly and with higher fidelity,” John Oskin, founder and president of Sage Clarity, said in a statement.
