NanoGraf, a leader in advanced battery materials and TechNexus portfolio company, has announced its revolutionary Onyx silicon anode, designed to significantly enhance the performance of electric vehicles. It's the latest step in NanoGraf’s mission to redefine battery technology and aligns with TechNexus’ focus on accelerating clean energy and mobility solutions.

The Onyx silicon anode aims to transform EV battery performance by delivering a 20% increase in energy density over conventional graphite anodes. This breakthrough enables EV batteries to store more energy in the same physical space, offering extended driving ranges and faster charging capabilities. NanoGraf's proprietary anode material also improves battery efficiency, cycle life and affordability, making it a game-changer for both consumers and manufacturers in the EV sector.

NanoGraf's commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions was further solidified by a recent $60 million federal grant to establish a battery production facility in Michigan. This factory will not only support the growing demand for high-performance EV batteries but also bolster domestic battery manufacturing, reducing reliance on foreign supply chains and boosting economic growth.

NanoGraf works with over 50 companies, including top consumer electronics, household appliance, and power tool brands. Its customers include startups to Fortune 100 firms, as well as the U.S. Department of Defense.

As a venture investor and collaborative partner, TechNexus has helped guide NanoGraf to drive innovation and scale impactful technologies that address critical market needs.

The Onyx silicon anode represents a significant leap forward for EV battery technology, underscoring NanoGraf's leadership in the industry and the transformative potential of the TechNexus ecosystem.
