LANDR acquires Reason Studios to give more tools to music creators

LANDR, a TechNexus Venture Collaborative portfolio company, has announced its acquisition of Stockholm-based Reason Studios, the creators of some of the most beloved and versatile music production tools in the industry. Joining forces with LANDR’s AI-powered ecosystem of features, Reason will deliver new value to its users in each stage of the creative process.

This union is a major step for LANDR, as the company strives toward its mission of delivering users of all levels access to high quality music production tools in one place. By integrating Reason’s creative instruments with LANDR’s AI-powered mastering and distribution, the two companies are empowering musicians to move from the first spark of an idea to release with unprecedented ease.

“Wherever music is made, Reason will be there, with its amazing instruments, effects and iconic analog workflow, enhanced by LANDR’s value-rich creator tools,” Pascal Pilon, CEO of LANDR, said in a news release.

While the two companies will collaborate to forge innovation, LANDR has made it clear that Reason will remain operating as its own independent brand, maintaining its Stockholm headquarters and creative identity.

LANDR and Reason will also establish an Artist Council, composed of renowned producers and veteran Reason users, to directly advise the evolution of Reason’s products. This council will ensure that the needs of real music creators are front and center in the innovation process for the next generation of music production tools.

A long-time investor in the audio space, TechNexus has supported LANDR’s growth from an AI-mastering pioneer into a comprehensive platform for creators. Alongside our corporate partner Shure, TechNexus is working to bridge the gap between traditional audio excellence and emerging technologies.

LANDR is one of several TechNexus portfolio companies leveraging technology to transform how audio is produced and experienced. Its acquisition of Reason marks a significant new chapter for LANDR, further signaling the industry’s move toward more integrated and intelligent tools.
