HAAS Alert, a leader in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) connected safety solutions and a TechNexus portfolio company, has partnered with AiDEN Automotive, a leader in privacy-first connected vehicle technology, to accelerate widespread adoption of scalable connected safety services in passenger and commercial vehicles. The idea is to have AiDEN’s experience in vehicle connectivity and HAAS Alert’s V2X platform create seamless communication between vehicles, infrastructure and roadside assets for safer roads without compromising sensitive user data.
HAAS Alert’s core product, Safety Cloud, provides real-time notifications through “digital alerts” to nearby drivers, warning them of emergency vehicles and crews, work zones and other hazards, so drivers have more time to adjust and slow down. These alerts are delivered through navigation apps like Waze and compatible vehicle infotainment systems in select Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, RAM and Volkswagen vehicles.
Emergency vehicles equipped with Safety Cloud are also able to notify other first responders who are actively responding and nearing the same intersection. This provides better situational awareness, inter-agency coordination and overall peace of mind.
Launched in 2015 with a mission to mitigate the number of roadway collisions and move toward a safer and smarter transportation system, their vision is a connected, collision-free world where everyone gets home safely. Since then, HAAS Alert has expanded into Europe, partnered with the U.S. Department of Transportation in a national deployment plan and helped develop standards for transportation safety.
With this partnership, HAAS Alert now demonstrates a further commitment to protecting user privacy as they work toward reinventing the standard for vehicle and roadway safety.
